Osan WTF
So I finally move out of that hell hole and after some lonely existence I meet some English speaking "norang muhree" and we go out. Some dudes off the street... Koreans in a pack of four... one dude shoulders me hard out of nowhere cuz i'm walking with a few English speaking ladies.
That was weird. Wasn't expecting that but escalate into something that made me feel very conflicted cuz I didn't come here to fight. That quelled down. After about a month I meet the same expats at the bar that I just came from tonight.. Now some Texan **** tries to start some **** with me. I put that ********** r in his place till he cowed down. I'm barraged from all sides here. I'm gonna have to show my face at that bar to show these expat fuckrs not to **** with Koreans... not that I'm a bad ass but this sh t I'm seeing's gotta stop.. at least in this neck of the woods.
Maybe some of you have had similar experiences or heard of similar sh t going down.. and whatever the sh t you heard and the theories you've had about whities in Korea.. from my personal experiences this is the kind of bullsht that goes down back in our country. Embarrassment from both sides.. from Koreans for hearing another Korean talk English and wanting to start sh t and English speaking American mofos who don't know what the fukc is up or down. I'm now siding with any Koreans wanting to start **** with English speaking mofo's who have no inkling of respect or manners. Start sh t with me all you want for speaking English.. I understand you.

Dude, I'm kind of confused...
In the first paragraph, Korean FOBs started with you.
In the second paragraph, who messed with you? Non-Koreans messed with you thinking you were a Korean FOB?

I don't know. You seem to be getting into conflicts left and right with all kinds of people, ghosts, and spirits in Korea. Makes me think that maybe it's not them that has a problem but you?

Seriously...
Everyone else who's written about their experience in Korea has nothing but good things to say. So why is Pathy the only one experiencing crap? Makes one wonder...

I guess I'm still drunk. I guess it's obvious, but my point is, aside from the few, there seems to be an underlying sense of superiority a lot of these whities have who come to Korea towards anyone with a Korean face. I'm just relating my story with a dude I was cool with that I ended up putting down. And the rest of the crowd later on who had this attitude like the people here are a joke. I said my piece and left the scene. I'm just realizing first hand some of the bull sh t sentiment that lies out here and what the native Koreans have to bare and witness.

i do understand what pathy's talking about... getting it from both sides...
but at the same time, it's not that hard to keep your nose clean and avoid these situations
pathy, it really does seem like you go around inviting trouble

I wouldn't waste time with such stupid people. Most of those whiteys only went to Korea to teach english or they're in the army and they get confused thinking Korea is Thailand. But it doesn't help matters when Korea has a lot of dumb Korean girls who are willing to spread their legs for these idiots.

You can think it's Korea. Possibly Korea is more than Seoul? Was everyone who came to Korea supposed to have nothing but good things to say? Is it culturally unsound to talk about their not so good experiences? I'm writing about my exerience in this place called Osan. For those who can't bare to think that Korea isn't all about smiles and flowery experiences, move on. Those who want to hear someone's experience here it is.

Dude, sorry to say this, but Seoul is pretty much it. You can't expect anything similar to Seoul elsewhere in Korea. Seoul is pretty atypical of Korea. And even within Seoul, different parts are so vastly different from each other.
You can drive out just 30 miles from Seoul to certain parts of Gyung-gi-do and you'd think that Korea was a backward, sh*thole filled with idiots...

I'm not writing this to get any kind of boohoo support from you guys man. It's just my way of release if you know what I mean. For those who never knew stories outside of Seoul.. here it is. Before I came here I think I would've been interested to hear something atypical about Korea. Maybe it's not the Korean thing to do to talk about things that puts Korea in not such favorable light. I'm doing my best to keep that to a minimum. One thing I know.. avoid any "one room chon" in Korea. Certain things you'll see and hear that's hard to come by in any ghetto back in the states.

Everytime I visit Gyung-gi-do near the Po-cheon area to visit my dad's grave, I'm amazed to find out how things have changed and developed when compared to the previous year. A new apartment complex here and there... A new Family Mart on the corner... More taxi cabs and sleeker looking buses... An eMart here and there...
This area I think is less than 30 miles from Seoul and you can drive there from downtown Seoul without traffic in about 40 minutes, I think....
But then I get a reality check... Freaking I can't even get a decent f*cking pasta dish or a steak. Foreign beers? I'm lucky if I can get foreign cigarettes at the LG 25. And museums? What museums? Theater? I don't even know where people can rent DVDs around there... And I can only imagine what people do in the evening for entertainment...
I couldn't lieve in freaking Gyung-gi-do. I'd probably kill someone after going nuts.
